Open Gardens 2019 raises £10,000!
The seventh biennial Histon and Impington Open Gardens was held on Sunday 9th June 2019 with seventeen gardens opening, as well as the Community Orchard.
There were wonderful music groups playing in several gardens, with teas served at five, and the Guides served strawberry and marshmallow kebabs on The Green. The event was a fantastic community day out and raised a staggering £10,000, which was shared equally between our four charities, The Cavendish School garden, Arthur Rank Hospice, Opportunity Playgroup and Histon and Impington Feast.
The pandemic unfortunately forced us to cancel the 2021 event, but generous gardeners saved the day by making films of their gardens, for a virtual event.
